Rajvir Singh Batra
My name is Rajvir Batra, and I am an alumnus of The British Co-Ed High School – I served as the school Head Boy from 2017 to 2018. During my time at BCEHS, I was involved in debate, Model United Nations conferences, and writing competition. Currently, I am an undergraduate student at Harvard University in Cambridge, United States majoring in Applied Mathematics and Economics with a minor in History/Government. On-campus, I am a researcher at the Institute of Politics at the Harvard Kennedy School, the Chief Financial Officer and Director of India & Singapore Conferences at the Harvard Global Education Movement and the Director of Operations for the India Business Summit.
As the school celebrates its 15th anniversary, I want to express my gratitude to my teachers, friends, and the institution itself for impacting my life in an overwhelmingly positive way. From the value of discipline to the importance of excellent communication skills, I have learnt it all in the corridors of my school. However, above everything else, BCEHS has defined my moral compass and the values that I hold dear today – ambition, passion, and equity. I am sure I speak on behalf of all other students, past and present, when I say that BCEHS is an institution par excellence and is an asset for our community. In an age where intolerance is on the rise and the very concept of reality is under attack, we need more institutions like the British Co-Ed High School that strive to promote intellectualism and a sense of moral duty.
