Rally on Stubble Burning

An appealing protest was made by the budding second year NCC cadets on May 10, 2022 to halt the burning of stubble and instead use it in a constructive way. The Rally took place in the adopted village of Ultpur.
The NCC cadets spoke about how the burning of crop residue was soaring leading to toxic air pollution index with the help of beautiful, informative charts and flash cards. The farmers were entreated to use the stubble in a constructive way. Though it was only a little step amid the rising air pollution of Punjab but every bit counts. To curb the practice, the farmers were informed about the toxic chemicals which the stubble fires produce and how it adversely affects the soil fertility in the long run.
