Round Square Conference – RGS Surrey Hills, UK
There are some experiences that stay with you long after they are over – and the Round Square Internationalism Conference at RGS Surrey Hills was certainly one of them. We quickly found ourselves immersed in an atmosphere that was both inspiring and wonderfully warm.
The conference days were full of life. Workshops sparked ideas, discussions challenged our thinking and collaborative activities reminded us just how much we can achieve when we work together. Meeting peers from such varied backgrounds was eye-opening -every conversation brought a fresh perspective and more often than not, a new friendship.
Outside the sessions, the experience was nothing short of brilliant. Exploring London, sailing along the Thames and throwing ourselves into the outdoor adventures at Juniper Hall gave us memories we shall not forget in a hurry. The cultural evening – with its colour, music and laughter – was a fitting reminder of how much we share despite our differences.
We came home broader in outlook, richer in experience and grateful beyond words to our school for making it all possible. It was, quite simply, the trip of a lifetime.
