Round Square
The journey toward earning Round Square membership was more than a goal—it was a collective mission for the
students of the British Co-Ed High School. Students came together, contributing their skills and ideas to showcase what our school truly stands for. On the day of the presentation, every detail reflected our dedication. A thoughtfully prepared presentation highlighted the steps our school has taken to align with the Round Square IDEALS, including fostering inclusivity, collaboration, and community engagement. Warm smiles, creative displays, and confident speeches told a story of unity and hard work. When the announcement confirmed our membership, it was a moment of triumph and togetherness. This milestone not only celebrates our achievements but also reaffirms our commitment to providing students with an education that nurtures responsibility, compassion, and global citizenship. The journey taught us that achieving something meaningful isn’t about individual success—it’s about how we come together as a community to achieve it.

Oxford MUN
The Oxford Model United Nations, held at Flame University, Pune from August 9th to 11th, 2024, was an unforgettable experience. The event was held from 9 am to 9 pm each day and was filled with intense debates, learning, and camaraderie.
One of the highlights of the MUN was the opportunity to meet and connect with bright minds from across India and abroad. I delivered speeches, answered challenging questions confidently, which ultimately succeeded in passing our resolution. The social events—Global Village Gala and Masquerade Eve—provided a much-needed break from the intense conference schedule. In addition to the conference, I also participated in the Power Drill athletics event, where I was awarded with silver medal. Our school’s students performed exceptionally well, with many finishing in the top five. Overall, the Oxford MUN was an enriching experience—one that taught me more than any award could. It was a journey of personal growth, teamwork, and learning, and I’m proud of the progress I made and the friendships I formed.

Traffic Awareness Drive
Seeing the alarming increase in the number of teenagers involved in road accidents, the school decided to hold a traffic awareness drive where grade XII students helped spread awareness about road traffic rules and their importance. The participants prepared skits in order to make the learning interesting for capturing the younger students’ attention.
The students were made aware of traffic rules and regulations, their importance and why everyone should follow them. The most common causes for road accidents these days are underage driving and disregard of traffic rules. The students were enlightened on why underage driving is dangerous and why it should not be promoted and why it’s important to follow traffic rules. It is very important to be aware that road traffic injuries remain an important public health concern.
It was a commendable endeavour by class XII to take this initiative of organizing a ‘Traffic Awareness Drive’ and now it’s our turn to do our part as responsible and informed citizens and avoid underage driving and follow all traffic rules sincerely.

Rally on Stubble Burning
An appealing protest was made by the budding second year NCC cadets on May 10, 2022 to halt the burning of stubble and instead use it in a constructive way. The Rally took place in the adopted village of Ultpur.
The NCC cadets spoke about how the burning of crop residue was soaring leading to toxic air pollution index with the help of beautiful, informative charts and flash cards. The farmers were entreated to use the stubble in a constructive way. Though it was only a little step amid the rising air pollution of Punjab but every bit counts. To curb the practice, the farmers were informed about the toxic chemicals which the stubble fires produce and how it adversely affects the soil fertility in the long run.

They also made the residents aware of the effect of climate change and how to fight it on an individual level. Tree Plantation
When one plants a tree, they plant themselves too. Every root is an anchor over which one rests with grateful interests, and becomes sufficiently calm to feel the joy of living. On 28th August, 2021, the students of the British Co-Ed High School actively participated in a tree plantation drive. The NSS volunteers and the NCC cadets were provided with plant saplings to be planted in a field, in front of the high school. Many saplings were planted with the joint efforts of teachers as well as students. Hence, making our environment a healthier place to live in. Our school has taken such initiatives several times over the years in an attempt to make our surroundings cleaner, greener and also to spread awareness among students about the importance of trees as rightly said, “He who plants a tree, plants a hope for a better tomorrow.”
